It’s the heart of our beekeeping activity.
Indeed, queen raising allows us to multiply and sustain healthy and productive bee colonies, autonomously in our own apiaries. This kind of breeding requires a wide and very meticulously gleaned know-how in which many details must be mastered throughout the entire production process.
That is how, from May to September, we produce several thousand queens from mini-nuclei beehives, a kind of small hives made specially for this use.

With the production of a thousand nucleis per year, this activity is one of the main tasks we perform, be it for the auto-renewal of our livestock or to meet the needs of our colleagues.
It is a real breeding activity as the young nuclei must become a colony able to produce honey thanks to the good care of beekeeper.
Being a beekeeper means evolving in osmosis with nature as well as with the bees’ activity which is a direct reflection of nature’s hazards.
As a natural reward for the pollination they perform, bees get minuscule drops of nectar which they bring into the hive: that’s honey.
The beekeeper, while doing his best to take care of them, harvests his share. That honey, which we are proud to offer you, is in some way the sharing of that miracle of nature.
As they forage, bees allow the transportation of pollen from stamen to the pistil. Once fertilized thanks to the bees, the flowers ensure the fruit setting.
We offer a pollination service, either through the renting or selling of hives, in order to respond to specific needs.
Propolis is the resin that bees forage on some trees and buds in order to seal off or cleanse the hive.
We harvest the tens of grams of propolis present in the hive thanks to a grate made specifically for that purpose.
First filtered, it is then entrusted to a French laboratory which creates remarkable wellness products.
Essential to the practice of beekeeping, training courses have become indispensable to the transmission of knowledge for beginners or professionals wishing to perfect their skills.
Within the frame of ANERCEA (Association Nationale des Eleveurs de Reines et des Centres d’Elevage Apicole, in English, France’s National Association of Queen Breeders and Beekeeping Centers) activities, we’ve been part of the trainers team for more than fifteen years, providing breeding-related training courses.
